    Random cursor freezes for about a second and then goes back to normal.


    It normally happens after right click or clicking on notifications in taskbar. Also happens like after playing games it is really annoying. Please help

    Intermittent Freezing linked to Cursor movement

    Hi,

    The cursor on my laptop freezes every few seconds when I move it. This happens with both my bluetooth mouse and my inbuilt touchpad. I know the laptop is freezing and not just the cursor because if I run an app with a progress bar it also freezes at the same time as the cursor. The freezing only seems to happen when I move the cursor.

    The freezing is just momentary (like it pauses for a second and then goes on as normal). I do not have to do anything to get it to unfreeze.

    I have tried re-installing the drivers for mouse and touch pad.

    I have defragged and cleaned up the HD.

    I have tried doing a system restore but just get an error (I only have 1 restore point because I stupidly deleted them to create space I didnt need in case it was a space issue).

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    When I'm playing a game, randomly it will freeze and make a noise like windows has blue screened for a few seconds, then it goes back to normal

    PC specs:

    CPU: AMD FX 8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.5ghz

    Ram: 16gb

    Storage: 256gb SSD for boot drive

    1tb hdd for storage

    GPU: Radeon RX 570

    Random Crash/Freeze on Build 10130


    Hello everyone.

    I have been running the Windows 10 preview for the last few months and other than a driver issue here or there, did not experience any real problems. However, with the last update to build 10130, I have been experiencing a random crash/freeze that manifests itself in one of two ways:

    1. If I step away from the computer and come back before the monitor is set to go to sleep, I will come back to a frozen cursor, unable to do anything.
    2. If I step away from the computer and come back after the monitor has gone to sleep, I will come back to a black screen, unable to do anything.
    In both cases, I have to hold the power button in to shut down the computer for a restart.

    Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.
