Windows 10: Random Ethernet connection death when i get home, tried multiple fixes to no avail.

Original situation + attempted fixes:I got home and my PC said it was not connected to any networks, when it’s usually connected through Ethernet to my home router through wall socket. My Ethernet plug shows all green lights, my router is working fine on all other wireless devices and no other discernible issues found.I’ve tried restarting my router and modem, using 2 different Ethernet cables, restarting my PC multiple times, updating the drivers using a USB drive although i dont think i did it correctly, doing the commands posted in the Microsoft suggestions e.g flush DNS but some said s

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Have you recently made any changes on the device prior to this issue?
   
3. What is the make and model number of the computer?
   
   
   
   
   
   You may try the below suggested steps to fix the issue.
   
   
   

1. Click on Start, Type in Control Panel and look for Network & Sharing Center.
   
2. Click on ‘Change adapter settings’ on the left pane.
   
3. You will be able to see the list of networks available.
   
4. Click on Advanced menu and select ‘Advanced Settings’.
   
5. You will be able to see the different types of connections under advanced settings Window.
   
6. Select Ethernet and use the arrows at the right side in the current Window in order to reorder the connections.
   
7. Click on OK and check the status of the issue.

Cannot connect to ethernet no valid ip configuration

Meanwhile, to isolate your concern, we suggest that you check the following:

  If the Ethernet port is clean.
  
• 
  If the end of RJ45 (Ethernet cord) is still intact.

  If available, test the RJ45 (Ethernet cord) to your other device and check if issue persists.

My reliable ethernet connection no longer works

Hi Marcia,

To better understand the query, please answer the following questions:

• After restarting is your computer in normal mode or not?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to reset the modem\ router and check if the Ethernet connection works or not.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
