Windows 10: Random Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapters spawning on Windows 10

Hi,We have been noticing that multiple Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapters are being created randomly on Windows 10 machines which are constantly messing up applications, such as Outlook goes offline. We have tried disabling Hyper-V, removing the adapters from the device manager but after a restart they appear back again. We were suspecting that it has something to do with Application Defender and we tried disabling that as well yet they still kept popping back.Anyone knows why this might be happening or what we can do to resolve this issue?Much appreciated. Cannot remove vEthernet (Ethernet), Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter

I may have been unclear about my remaining problem (maybe not relevant to my header): After uninstalled the Windows Sandbox, the created 8 Gb Virtual disk was not removed. Then uninstalling the Microsoft Virtual Disk in
Device Manager, it is reinstalled after reboot and also bringing back the two Hyper-V adapters. There is no problem to remove Hyper-V Adapters again as long as also the Switch one just shown in the hidden view is deleted. And I have to keep the Virtual
Disk.

Anyway I tried your suggestion. In the page you referred to, Method 1, just check and uncheck the Hyper-V Hypervisor, did not make any difference. It didn't ask for a reboot. I did it again but made a reboot in between and the vEthernet adapters were
back. But after removing them it's OK.

When I installed the main Hyper-V again I got a second Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter #2. Uncheck Hyper-V in Windows Feature, Reboot and deleting those two and the Switch Adapter, it is ok, they stay away.

So there seems to be something else starting up the Hyper-V adapters. Something is looking for MS Virtual Disk and if not found starting it up again and also the Hyper-V Virtual Adapters.

When I earlier tried the Sandbox I had problems with the Internet connection, made some ethernet bridge that did not work either so I uninstalled the Windows Sandbox. Got the local network problems (solved here) but the Virtual Disk is still there.
Its partition table is beeing locked. I have avoided to install and uninstall the Sandbox again. There are some inherent issues that I ought to understand first.

I am not the only one who wants to remove the Virtual Disk.

hello,

every time i restart my computer a new "Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter" appears in my device manager. I've tried deleting/uninstalling and disabling them, but keeps replicating.





I don't even have a VM running at the moment.





Also, can't delete the default switch.
