Windows 10: Random keyboard delay

For the past few months I have been experiencing a seemingly random delay on my laptop, the delay only affects the keyboard, not the mouse or the screen. The delay happens only in videogame without pattern I'm not sure but it's probably because of the higher requirements of the videogames.I have already tried a soft reboot and a few tutorials but i couldn't find any solutions. I don't think it is a virus as I have done some scans and checked manually although im not 100% sure.Specs:11th Gen IntelR CoreTM i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz16GB RAMWindows11 HomeNvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop G

I suggest you to follow the steps to open Device manager.

        Right Click on Windows Logo.
        
      • 
        Select Device Manager.
        
      • 
        Or, you may use the On Screen Keyboard.
        
      • 
        Right Click on Windows, Select Control Panel.
        
      • 
        Click on Ease of access center.
        
      • 
        Click on Screen Keyboard.

Keyboard Delay in Windows 10

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver. Follow the steps to uninstall & reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager.

• 
  Press Windows key + X from the
  Keyboard and click on Device Manager.
  
• 
  In Device Manager, double click on the
  Keyboard.
  
• 
  It will show you the device driver name, select that device and then right click on it.
  
• 
  Click on Uninstall button.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.
  
• 
  Repeat the same for Mice and other pointing devices.

Keyboard delay

Hello.

It would be great to test your device with another keyboard. This could show the issue is keyboard or system.

Try the steps below:

- disconnect and connect keyboard again

- run hardware troubleshooter

- update keyboard driver

- delete keyboard for the device manager list, update it, drivers should be found by system
