Windows 10: random keyboard input without typing

    random keyboard input without typing


    my Windows 11 computer either has a keyboard input issue due to recent windows update or is infected with malware that is causing a series of random characters to be entered whatever the active input field is.I cannot login and now even when I attempt to start in safe mode or get to command prompt I cannot successfully do so because of this issue.

    Emoji keyboard causes random typing.

    From what I understand and how I have seen it work on other machines, when I bring up the emoji keyboard (Win+. or Win+random keyboard input without typing ;) it should allow me to type normally, and suggest emoji that match what I type.

    However, when I type with the emoji keyboard up on this machine, it produces random input. Like, literally random. For example, if I type "asdfasdfasdfasdf" while Win+. is up: qmoypana8bi5rwn0, and while Win+; is up wj21ja912oipp9d1.

    I guess this could be good for generating passwords quickly, but what the heck?

    Language keyboard input doesn't equal output

    Hi,

    Language input may vary depending on the Input method set on your keyboard settings. To sort your concern, we suggest that you check if the desired input is set correctly by following these steps:

    • Type in Language and keyboard options on the search box.
    • Select the desired language that you're trying to set up.
    • Once you've selected the language, select Options.
    • Under Keyboards, select Microsoft IME and click
      Options.
    • Scroll down and select Open advanced settings.
    • A window will pop up. Under General tab, click the drop-down arrow for
      Input method and select the desired input.
    • Click OK.
