Windows 10: Random lag spikes affect everything on the PC

Since December 2022 I have been struggling with sudden computer lags due to unknown reasons. These lags could be recorded in game FPS displays, dropping from 165 fps to roughly 0-5 fps, then goes back up to 165 again. The lag however, does not only happen in computer games. It occasionally affects everything on windows such as typing in the Calculator, after I input a number it takes a while to be displayed while other numbers were instantly showing on the screen normally; browsing in file directories sometimes lag a bit before i could continue scrolling.The lag greatly annoys me when I am p

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Random lag spikes affecting everything on pc

So I have had this problem with my pc for a while where everything thats on screen (Mouse, video) and all audio glitches for a split seconds with a time of 1 second up to a minute in between the glitches. It happens completely randomly and sometimes it might not be doing it for weeks and then the problem comes back.

This time the lag spikes have continued for over 2 days and It's becoming a real annoyance for me. I already updated my graphics drivers, and also chipset drivers to the newest versions, but it didn't help. So next I decided to update windows (10) to the newest version, it did nothing. The last thing I have tried to do is to update to windows 11 but the problem is here.

I don't see anything special pop up in task manager and cpu, gpu and ram usages are staying normal. I did run a virus scan and it found nothing.

None of the solutions I have found on internet, have worked.

Random lag spikes

Hello.

I have a problem with random lag spikes from time to time (for example when I play game or listen to a song on internet or without internet on every 5-10 minutes I have a lag for about 2-3 seconds and after that everything continues to work perfectly). I
reinstalled my computer 1 month ago and cleaned it from dust and in start there were no lags but now I have them. My pc is not even one year old and here are my specs:

TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB

AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB

AMD Athlon X4 840 Quad Core 3,1GHz

Asus A68HM-K

8GB DDR3 ram

I checked my cpu and gpu temperature and everything else with MSI Afterburner and everything seems to work well. Please help!
