Windows 10: Random PC freeze sometimes with audio buzz and BSOD

Hi.Recently, I've encountered occasional random PC freezes/hangs, sometimes with audio buzzing that requires a hard reset. so far it's been 4 times in a day, One of the times being right after PC start up, and it just freezes, having to hard reset it again. I've done a crystaldiskinfo and memtest63, and both show as Pass/healthy.With the most recent being BSOD, there's a dump file available, and I hope for assistance!MSINFO32 & Minidump: BSOD 061325-8718-01.zipThanks in advance!

I now suspect the issue is the corrupted opencl.dll. I don't have proof but now I have a stable system without any buzz during audio playback

Hi,

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

AMD FX 8320E (8-core) with 16 GB RAM

MSI 970A-G46 with onboard Realtek audio

NVidia GeForce GT 710

This is a brand new installation (not an upgrade), less than 1 week old.

There is a random buzzing sound during audio playback, not repeatable or predictable. However, the PC can also freeze up with a sustained buzzing sound (I've tried to leave it for 10 min and it did not recover).

Device manager showed both Realtek and Nvidia High Definition Audio. Realtek is connected to my PC speakers via 3.5 mm jack. Nvidia is connected to my TV via HDMI, but it's not in use.

Other threads have seen suggestion to delete the device driver and install the device again. So I've tried the following.

In Device Manager, uninstall the device, and choose to delete the driver software. Reboot, run with the default Microsoft driver. Problem remains

Reboot, install Realtek 6.0.1.7806 (latest on MSI website). Problem remains

Reboot, install nVidia 1.3.34.15 from 368.69-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql. Problem remains.

At this point, I'm a bit lost. I can only think going back to Windows 7 as an option.

What else can I try?

Random total freeze with buzzing sound from speakers

There are no crash dump files included in the logs although your eventlog does show that you have had some recent 0x124 hardware related BSOD events. Other than giving you the generic troubleshooting approach for hardware related issues there is not a lot I can do to help.




STOP 0x124 Troubleshooting [/i] Read carefully before proceeding.



Warning

If you're overclocking your system, revert back to stock clocks now.

Warning Your CPU temperatures will rise quickly while under this stress test. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if overheating occurs.




TWO [/i] RAM TEST

Note



MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.




THREE [/i] HDD TEST
*Arrow Run HDTune to

• check the health,
• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following

• the health,
• the error scan,
• the benchmark incl. following
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

FOUR [/i] GPU TEST
*Arrow Run Furmark to stress test your GPU. FurMark - GPU Stress Test - Windows 10 Forums



Note Run Furmark for around 30 minutes.


Warning Your GPU temperatures will rise quickly while Furmark is running. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if overheating occurs.
