PC reboots. I have some minidump files.

Hi. My computer (new, supposedly) keeps rebooting. Many times when editing videos but other times it seems random (just browsing the web, etc.). Sometimes it's a BSOD but most of the times it just reboots without showing anything. I have Windows 11. After it happens, Event Viewer shows error event ID 56, followed by error event ID 24687. I've tried using only one RAM memory stick at a time, and I've tried replacing the PSU, but it still happens. My next step is going be to try a new RAM memory stick and, if it still happens, I'll try a new drive (my system drive is an M.2) installing Windows 11 completely anew on it.

Since most of the time there's no BSOD or anything, it won't create minidump files, but I've noticed that in the last few days it has created some minidump files. Would you like to please have a look at those minidump files? Thank you.

  3. Random Reboots on PC

You can try to use the Driver Verifier. If a corrupted driver is causing the problem the Driver Verifier will force the crash and will create a minidump with the information about which driver is causing the problem.

Step 1: Create a system restore point. in case anything goes wrong you will be able to restore your computer. You can see how to do it at this link.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/cre...

Step 2: Enable the Diver Verifier

1-Right-click on Start then click on Windows Terminal (admin)

2-Type this command and press Enter:

    Verifier

3-Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click Next

4-In the "Select individual settings from a full list", select everything except "Low Resource Simulation", "and "Force Pending I/O Requests" and click Next

5-Select "Select driver names from a list" and click Next

6-Select everything except the driver provided by Microsoft and click on Finished

7-Reboot your computer and use it normally until your computer crashes again

8-Compact and share the new minidump

Step 3Random PC reboot after starting games. Minidump file created. :Disable the Driver Verifier

1-Right-click on Start then click on Windows Terminal (admin)

2-Type this command and press Enter:

    Verifier

3-Select "Delete existing settings" and click on Finish

    Random reboots

    Hi slzaval,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Random reboots can be very hard to troubleshoot, does your PC actually blue screen without Driver Verifier being enabled?

Your minidump file indicates all drivers and BIOS on your ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING motherboard are fully up to date.

The minidump files indicate the Human Interface driver in Windows caused the crashes, do you have a keyboard, mouse or game controller connected to your PC that requires specific drivers?
