Random progress bar shows after a few seconds in file explorer and strange UWP behaviour

This has started happening a few days ago, I dont remember updating anything or installing anything specific and my system performance for things like gaming is exactly the same. When I open file explorer at any folder everything is normal for the first few seconds, then I get this progress bar at the top of my screen even tho there is literally nothing to load. This alone is extremely annoying.* just noticed images wouldnt upload for some reason, tried uploading from clipboard and just drag and dropping, no luck so heres imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/Eun9e7eUWP icons seem to be not showing u

    :)

Green progress bar in File Explorer

I don't remember how or when I made a change in File Explorer, but each time I call it up now, I get a slow moving progress bar in the bar where it identifies the location. I noticed there in the search bar it shows where it is going: "search (JRandom progress bar shows after a few seconds in file explorer and strange UWP behaviour :) Jack" as an example.

How do I stop this? It takes a lot of time, depending on the folder.

  3. File Explorer search progress bar is infinite

    Hello Bootsy,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

The green progress bar just indicates that the search is running. It is not an indication of how much the search has completed. As long as the silver strip is running on the green progress the search is being done. This is by design since it is difficult to exactly determine the progress of the search (lot of factors like speed of the drive, number of files being searched through, size of these files and upcoming files) hence the green progress bar just indicates that there is progress but does not show proper progress.

Random progress bar shows after a few seconds in file explorer and strange UWP behaviour

Scroll bar keeps resetting in Windows File Explorer.

For some reason, when I'm browsing a long list of files, if I stop moving my scroll wheel for a few seconds, the scroll bar in the file explorer jumps back up to the very top. Which is annoying when I'm browsing a folder that has hundreds of files in it.
This only happens in the file explorer. Any suggestions?
