Windows 10: random reboots after new gpu install

been a few frustating days lately :/


i3 4150 @3.50ghz

Previous gpu: gigabyte gtx 750 ti oc windforce 2gb with 6 pin connector

New gpu: Asus Gtx 1650 oc dual 4gb no connector

2x8 ddr3 1600mhz

OS win10 in my SSD


have had this build for a while 0problems, upgraded ram, changed cpu thermal paste, oc the gpu a bit to stable levels.. but Dirt rally 2.0 made me upgrade gpu, to up graphics and minimize stutters and drops.


It worked/works wayy better graphics, went from lows/mediums to everything High plus TAA and multisampling, etc


Problem is pc will restart out of nowhere, might happen once every 5/6h or happen 4/5 times in a row :/ and it gives this weird sound before rebooting remember those old tv shows like prize is right the sound you get when you answer wrong? well thats about it lol


removed ram, removed gpu, psu, spray can clean it, and still the same.. just went from 5h straight no problems and then 4 reboots back to back, updated drivers, nothing.. happens mid gameplay, menus, or just idle.. i just never now


Device manager events on the gpu has this:


Device PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F82&SUBSYS_86B61043&REV_A1\4&1286464&0&0008 requires further installation.

Random Reboots

I've had, as the title suggests, random reboots for the length of the time since I've built my computer (2 years roughly) and they're completely inexplicable.

It happens under no load, high load, watching movies, listening to music, playing games, browsing the web, sitting by itself in the room when the my sleeping monitor is even saying WTF?!

There aren't any Events to view other than the usual 0xC*D event when the service just shrugs at me.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Maybe someone has had the same problem before and it was just a loose molex connection? I'm baffled.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
