    My wife's computer has been suffering with random restarts. This has been happening ever since we built the rig about 4-5 months ago. All the drivers is updated. Have tried to use who crashed to find the problem but keep coming up with the same bugchecks, ntoskrnl.exe and ntknlmp. I have included the zip file that is required.

    :)

    Sometimes my pc just restarts for no reason (not that I know of). Never when I'm using it but when I go away from my pc for a while, when I come back, sometimes I see my login screen. I'm pretty sure it didn't just lock because all the programs I was running
    were closed when I logged back in and my Google Chrome said it was closed wrongly. I am aware of windows 10 sometimes sending me notifications with that I have to restart my pc for an update but I didn't get those notifications and besides, it only should
    restart after 9 PM (I selected that in the settings). It happened 4 or 5 times until now.

    Apologies for my bad English Random restarts :p

    You just have 0x0000009F in the dumps.
    its definitly driver problems. Please update or roll back these drivers:

    atikmdag.sys [13.01.2017] * ATI Video driver * => Support & Drivers
    rt640x64.sys [7.10.2016] * Realtek NICDRV 8169 PCIe GBE Family Controller driver * => Realtek

    I went as far as doing a clean uninstall of the ATI video drivers, restarted and installed new drivers and still have the crashes. I haven't tried that with the realtek, but both have the newest drivers and has done this with older drivers as well. What should I do now? I was thinking about reformatting and starting fresh, but not sure.

  6. Sorry there is only 0x0000009F in the dumps with these two drivers. The bugcheck code only refer to driver problems. I dont see any other causes but it does not hurt anything to do memtest to check the RAM:

    Run MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

    Random restarts [IMG]
    Note MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

    Make a photo of the result and post it.

    I analysed ALL of youre dumps again. Theres something new I found. Anyways your problem is a driver problem.

    Code: 0x0000009F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (21.01.2017 17:06:33) [Windows 10] CAUSED BY: pci.sys [14.12.2016] * NT Plug and Play PCI Enumerator (Windows System File) atikmpag.sys [13.01.2017] * ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver) * => AMD Support and Radeon Software Driver Download BHDrvx64.sys [4.11.2016] * Symantec Heuristics Driver * => Symantec Enterprise Technical Support atikmdag.sys [13.01.2017] * ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver) * => AMD Support and Radeon Software Driver Download PROCESS: System Usual causes: Device driver [/quote]
    Please update or remove the Symantec Software (for me this is shit scrapware)

    Norton(Symantec) Download and run Norton Removal Tool Norton Security Scan L: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/englis...ools/NSSRT.exe

    Just wanted to give an update. Its been about 3 weeks since I removed and reinstalled the drivers for the audio and video as well as Norton and everything is running good with no random shutdowns and no memory dumps. Thanks for all the help.
