Windows 10: Random shutdowns to flog ads

I'm about done with this. Twice in the last couple of weeks, my computer simply stopped responding to keyboard and mouse. After watching it sit there like a log for several minutes, I powered down and restarted.The first time, it immediately started installing a Windows update. The second time, it sent me through several screens demanding that I upgrade to Windows 11 RIGHT NOW.Screw this. Has Microsoft really decided that wrecking what I am doing in the middle of work is an OK strategy for making demands? There is not even any warning. It just stops while I am doing something. I'd never heard of Flogs, so I went to the website, signed up, created a calendar and synced it to my Live/Hotmail account. It didn't show up on the phone at first, but I realize that's because I have that Live account set to sync hourly. Once I manually
synced it, the Flogs calendar showed up.



In the Calendar app settings there are virtual slider switches to turn on and off individual calendars. Is your Flogs calendar listed there?

The Live calendar on your phone is tied to your Live email account. You set the sync interval in the account settings. I have over a half dozen email accounts on my phone, and battery life suffers if I have them all update "as items arrive" so I set the
majority of them to sync at a lesser interval, some lesser used accounts I set to only sync manually. You can set the interval either in Settings > System > Email+accounts, or on the settings under the ellipsis (...) in each account's inbox.



As to the calendar sync, I told Flog to sync with my Live (Hotmail) calendar, which directed me to my Hotmail account and prompted me to subscribe to the Flog calendar, which I did. Once I did, my Hotmail calendar now shows "My Flog Calendar" in the calendar
list. Next time I synced my Hotmail account on the phone, the Flog calendar was added to the list of calendars in the settings of the phone calendar app, allowing me to select a color and turn it on or off.
