Windows 10: Random STREAM wav file generated

Hello, a program seems to automatically generate STREAM_X.wav file periodically to C:\ drive in the background. Here's a screenshot of it:





Is it a sign of a malware? What should I do to stop the program?

Combining .wav files from the command line

I am currently in a directory with command prompt open, and combining wav files using the command

There are 29 wav files in this directory, each of them exactly 00:00:59 in length.

However, the combined "allAudio.wav" file generated by this command has a file size corresponding to all the merged .wav files in the directory, but the length of the file is only 00:00:59 just like all of the other .wav files in the directory.

This does not make sense to me. If anyone can explain this and suggest a way to actually merge the files such that the final file is correct in length would be great.





In total I have more folders containing several hundred wav files that need to be merged, so any software that merges one-at-a-time is not feasible for this task.

Unable to play .wav audio file

To assist you better, I like to know; on which application you are you are trying to play .Wav sound file?

I like to inform you that; you can play .wav audio file format
using Windows Media Player and Windows 10 Groove Music app.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to Right click on the
.wav audio file > Select Properties > click on the
Change button adjacent to Open with option > Select Windows Media player option from the given list > Click on
Ok.

If the issue still persists, run audio troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Playing Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
