Random unwitnessed BSODs and Hardware Errors in reliability monitor

    Hi there,

I have recently been having multiple problems with my computer. According to the ‘reliability monitor’ (screenshots attached), I have had multiple blue screens and ‘Unexpected Windows shutdowns’. However, unless I keep missing the blue screens, I have not seen any of them. I find this very strange as I am sure that I would have noticed if my computer had blue screened! Also, while looking through the reliability monitor, I can see that every couple of days I am having ‘Hardware Errors’. Again, I have not witnessed any errors or unusual things happening to my computer. Another issue is that multiple programs and apps ‘stop working’ every day, these errors I do witness.

Do you think that these issues are related or caused by hardware? So far I have updated all drivers and tested the ram with memtest86+ (and got 8 passes). I have attached the BSOD log files and screenshots of reliability monitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. *Biggrin

    :)

The latest dumpfile is a xA0 internal power error.
Often with this kind of error are hibernation problems and storage drivers involved.

Please update your Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver your driver is from 2014 from here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=5007#dl
Advice: also update the other drivers if necessary.

Your Malwarebytes seems outdated please update to the latest version.

Hi there, thanks very much for your prompt response. Strange about the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver being outdated as I updated all of the drivers from Gigabyte's website very recently. However, I have once again updated the driver and malware bytes.

I have just looked in the reliability monitor again, and very recently I had another 'Hardware error' (I will attach a screenshot of the info). What I find worrying is that lots of the BSODs have different error codes. Also, I also often have an error message saying that the graphics driver has stopped responding and has been recovered.

What do you suggest I do next?

    Many thanks for your help.*Wink

In the dumpfile of your screenshot the igdkmd64.sys driver is flagged.
This driver is the driver of your Intel GPU and is dated igdkmd64 Sat Jul 18 02:27:57 2015 (55A99D8D
Also update to the latest version from your http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=5007#dlThis is version 15.40.10.64.4300 from 25/10/2015

    Hi there,

Sorry about the wait... I definatly updated all of the drivers from the gigabyte website very recently, so why some of them are apparently out of date is very strange.

Since I posted last, I have decided to 'refresh' windows 10 because of the problems I have been having. Also, yesterday, I installed a graphics card (Asus GT610). I have just finished installing the latest versions of all drivers.

I will keep an eye on the reliability monitor and see how things go.

    Thanks for your help. *Smile
