Windows 10: Randomly CPU speed goes down and become constant while gaming

I was gaming but suddenly after 3-5 min the game extremely lagged and when i checked task manager then i saw that CPU Usage was 100% and cpu speed was constant on 0.17GHz but without gaming the things go smooth and cpu speed goes like 2.00 - 2.70GHzSpecs :-Intel i3-1115G4 @3.00GHz8 gb ram256gb ssd

Low CPU Speed While Gaming on Battery Mode

Hi, so the problem started recently on my laptop. My CPU speed when not gaming is around 2.3 GHz and above. However, whenever I play a game, my CPU clocks down to 0.79 GHz and stays there until I close the game. I also checked my temperature while gaming, which is around 60 °C. I tried changing the maximum processing unit to both 100% and it still didn't work. But if I plug a 300W AC adaptor into my laptop, the CPU speed goes up to 4 GHz. Is there any fix for low CPU clock speed while gaming on battery mode?

Is high Cpu speed better for games or low?

I opened Task Manager and went to View, then I saw an option called "Update Speed". I clicked it and it had a few options for increasing and decreasing the CPU speed. It worked but my question
was that should I increase my CPU speed when gaming? Will it change the game performance?
