    BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe

    Hello!

I have an issue recently, my Lenovo X1 Carbon stops randomly with a BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I have the dmp file checked with bluescreen viewer. I tried reinstalling windows, it did not help.

    Bug check code: 0x0000000a

    Parameter 1: 00000000`40a87446

    Parameter 2: 00000000`00000002

    Parameter 3: 00000000`00000001

    Pararmeter 4: fffff802`a7755983

Caused by address (crash address): ntoskrnl.exe+175430

Memtest and checkdisk were fine, without error, drivers are up to date. Is it a hardware problem? Do you have any suggestions to solve the problem?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forums mats1995!

Don't use dropbox so can't see the logs. Two or three different solutions I found on Microsoft support though. Most of them point to driver issues. Have you tried : device manager > system devices > intel management engine interface > properties > driver. Uninstall it and either go to intel and get the newest one or you could try letting windows do it. Install and reboot.

    Hi Mats1995,

In order for us to best help you, please run our log collector and post the resulting .zip file as an attachment.
Instructions are located here: BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums

Looking at the crash dump you posted on dropbox, you are running into a DPC watchdog violation. This means that the system is spending too long processing work related to device interrupts.

The stack information shows that nvlddmkm.sys (nvidia display driver) is the likely culprit.

If you've overclocked your card, please reset everything to defaults. I'd also suggest monitoring the temperature of your GPU, this can be done with Nvidia's control panel or a 3rd party tool like HWMonitor.

Both crash dumps are showing your Nvidia display driver as the problem, I see you still haven't updated it as I suggested last week. Is there a reason you do not want to update your display driver?

There were 2 bsod mini dump files that were debugged.
The debugging displayed 1 misbehaving hardware driver.
The logs indicated that Windows failed fast startup.
There was corruption noted in a registry hive.

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste these commands:
    1) sfc /scannow
    2) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    3) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    4) chkdsk /x /f /r
This may take many hours so plan to run overnight.
    5) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event.vwr and post the report into the thread:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
    6) The best way to fix the misbehaving Nvidia driver is to uninstall everything Nvidia using Display driver uninstaller and install new drivers from the computer manufacturer's website or from the Nvidia website.

The computer manufacturer's web site is preferred. Enter the computer's serial or product number and the operating system to view available drivers.

If you use the Nvidia web site be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the graphics driver and the physx driver.
