Windows 10: randomly freezes and then bluescreens

The issue started not to long after i updated my gpu driver i have a 1080 gtx. When i am using my pc the entire computer freezes for a few seconds out of no where and sometimes it bluescreens the stop code is : "dpc watchdog violation" i have am not to sure how to fix this. it happens every day it is starting to annoy me because this is my work/gaming pc so it will be amazing if anyone has any ideas how to fix this issueThank you

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
