    Great.
Use the 3rd admin account for a few days. If no issues after that, go back to admin #1 > backup files you want to keep > delete admin #1.

Looks like you have saved the trouble and time of doing repair install.

    ogrady859,

If after a few days and no problem appears, please come back to this thread and mark it as Solved.
    Thank you.

Should I delete the problem user accounts if the problem doesn't come up again? And if so, what's the best way to move files and apps to the newer user?

Yes. Delete the corrupt user account. It is no good to you anymore.

As to moving files and apps, I do not have a complete or better method.
Some one in this forum gave a very good method. Unfortunately I cannot find that answer.

What I would do is to copy the files from the corrupt account to an USB or an external hard drive. Then copy them back to the new account.
I have no answer to the apps. I would reinstall them.

The new user account is now having the problem, but more frequent. The event viewer now says:

The shell stopped unexpectedly and explorer.exe was restarted.

It's almost immediately after it recovers the problem starts up again.

Any way to find what's wrong with the user account?
Delete the corrupt user account means lose all lots of special settings and more.
    Isn't it?
It's almost like installing the OS from scratch. *Smile
Any tools to find what went wrong with the current profile?
