Unknown Huge File Appeared in D DriveHeya folks, So I was on my laptop today and noticed that after a system reset a month or so ago things hadn't been running too smoothly. While investigating the problem I noticed that one of my drives seemed to have WAY more data on it than it should have. My laptop has two drives, C drive being a 117SSD and D drive being a 1TB HDD. The D drive is showing as having only 263GB available which didn't seem right as I've only installed a few games since the reset. I started to have a pole around to try and find what was taking up all of the space. I was really

Is file named MediaCreationToolx64 the correct file to D/L?

    Brink:
I am attempting to boot from the ESD-ISO DVD. Not certain that I will be able to repeat!

at present I have on screen:
    Open window title.
Look in: CD Drive (DRandomly named file in D driver, over 250GB size, no idea where it came from :) ESD-ISO

I am able to see list of files, which include folders with names of: boot, efi, sources, and support. The only application file name shown in root directory is: setup.

Clicking on setup did nothing, other than exit this window listing!
There is also an auto run file in the root; does nothing; exits window!

    Any ideas?

    Lost D drive

Ghot. Fiddling with BIOS is not in my wheelhouse but I searched every line and couldn't find any reference to the HDD. In the SATA column I found the Samsung 250GB and the CD-DVD but no HDD listed. Couldn't find anything in other columns at all.

Jumanji. Yes, I plugged in an external drive via USB and it came up as "F" drive as it usually does. I transferred 20 odd games this morning from F to D with both folders open on the screen. There was no apparent problem then.
I downloaded the driver clean up and ran it as you suggested but it did not fix the problem.

    Directory Size Utility

First of all nice utility, Mindweaver!
Second of all, it's so nice to see that this section ain't dead.

    I have a few questions/suggestions, maybe you'd want to see ...
    • maybe you rename Get Folder button caption to something more intuitive? Add Folder, Get Folder Size, Check Folder Size or something like that?
    • Could you add subfolder files to the right pane? (it can be a tickbox with include sub dirs)
    • maybe you also add export list to excel?
    • there's delete file button maybe you add delete folder button too?
    • and finally maybe you can add UP button for directories?
