    Randoms BSOD during normal use or when I shut down the pc


    This pushed me to my limits. I have a GTX 1070, EVGA 650W G3 PSU, 2x8 GB Corsair 3200 MHz, ASRock B450M Steel Legend, Ryzen 5 3600. No OC, all default settings, the RAMs either XMP or default settings is the same. All is up to date, Windows, drivers, etc. no errors with memtest86. The system randomly gives me a BSOD just after I press the Windows button -> shutdown, the system starts shutting down and inmediately a BSOD appears. I recently played Gears 5 and randomly crashes and send me to desktop, same with Crysis Warhead, very weird. So I decided to upgrade to Ryzen 7 5700x3D and 2X16 GB

    BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

    In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

    The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
    As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
    That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

    I'm afraid you won't be able to recover information from the deleted minidumps on the Event Viewer. Not the relevant information, just the basics.

    The only way I know to recover deleted files is by using a third-party tool like Recuva.

    But do not worry. Let's see if the procedure I suggest below will work. If that doesn't work, you'll have new minidumps.

    - Go to the support area of the Asus website, download the latest chipset drivers, and install them.

    Then use your PC normally and see if BSOD occurs when you shut down your PC.
