  1. RAS Async adapter and no wifi

My WiFi is showing "no WiFi networks found " and when I try troubleshooting it tells me to check my router?? I went to device manager and in hidden devices something called RAS Async adapter is hidden and shows this in properties Could this be the reason my WiFi won't work? How can I get it to show up againYesterday my wireless adapter did the same thing and I reinstalled the driver and it came back

    :)

Is 'RAS Async Adapter' Needed? Is it safe to Uninstall It?

Hi guys.. I have in my Device Manager an item under network called, 'ras async adapter.' It probably is related to wifi but my PC does NOT use wifi at all. I dont know what it does and would like to know if its safe to uninstall it unless its needed.

  3. WiFi Adapter question

To be honest, I keep losing my wifi connection and Im almost positive its not due to my internet connection or Router or anything like that. VERY often, everyday, all day it keeps happening. The troubleshooter always resolves it by "reset wifi-adapter" (I believe this is the step it takes that resolves the problem) before it happens again anyways.

    Its driving me nuts !

Most time when it suddenly goes out (the connection) all the networks that should be in "show available networks" or all but the one I was connected to, disappear. I run the troubleshooter and it ends in resetting the wifi adapter. And it works. 10 minutes later, it happens again. Im trying to pin down the problem here.

    Thank you for your help.

RAS Async adapter and no wifi

A persistent wireless network connection issue – Will Microsoft look into this with its partners, e.g., HP and Intel?

    Hi Saltgrass,

Thank you for your note. I do not know what RAS Async Adapter is and what device(s) are using Netwtw04 driver.
Are you suggesting that I also look into their compatibility with the Intel wireless adapter?
This might make sense, as my wireless continues to be unstable even after I’ve re-disabled the 2 Bluetooth devices (Personal Area Network and RFCOMM Protocol TDI), along with the Microsoft WiFi Direct Virtual Adapter.

Meanwhile, I do not know why in my Device Manager the Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) is listed under Network adapter, while in yours it is listed under Bluetooth.
Before you asked, I had thought that it was a network adapter.
    Is it not?
