Windows 10: Raw Image Extension - Can't open DNG Files

Hi there,I recently purchased a drone with RAW Image capabilities. However when I opened the files on my computer they appeared tiny on the screen and often inverted or sideways. From here I went and installed the Raw Image Extension hoping that would fix the problem, however it hasn't done anything.Are .DNG files supported by this extension?

Where Are My RAW (DNG) Files?

I currently own an Nokia Lumia 1520. This phablet has the ability to support RAW photos along with the usual JPEG format. I have set up my phone to snap photos with the Lumia Camera Classic app (I am still on Lumia Cyan, being Canadian). The setup is
4:3, along with 5 MP JPEG + 19 MP DNG. I see only the JPEG files, but no sign of the DNG files. How might I find these files on my phone? It seems as if, contrary to its proper operation as set by me (see above), the camera STILL only snaps one JPEG image,
and no DNG image. Perhaps I am missing something...

It would be most-appreciated if someone were to advise me as to the location of the missing DNG files on my phone. I even hooked up the 1520 to my PC, to no avail. My RAW-capable photo editors saw nothing in the DNG format.

Disable Photos app from opening DNG files -

Hi, Is there any way you can set up Photos app not to open DNG files when viewing images? With my camera I shoot in RAW and then copy the RAW images to a Folder on my Windows 11 PC I then import these into Photoshop Elements, I then process the images and produce JPGS which I save with the same "IMGP prefix + description to" the same folder where the RAW files exist, so for each RAW file there is a corresponding JPEG file next to it. Now when I open explorer and click on image to view it with Photos app, when I click "Next" (arrow), it opens the DNG file (I do not want Photos app to open DNG files, I want to skip those, because I have to click three times before I get to the next image. Thanks.

 

Indexing RAW images, is it possible

Hi there,

I am trying to find a way to index RAW images, I mean to allow the Indexing Service to scan and index the Exif information of these image files.

The Windows Explorer is able to retrieve and display it, see attached screen capture, the two last columns "Camera Maker" and "Camera Model", so it is not impossible, but the Indexing Service seems not able to do the same. A search for "cameramaker:sony" is not returning anything on RAW image files (ok on now raw image files). I added the ARW file extension to Indexing Service to no success and I installed the Windows "Raw Image Extension".

Note that it is working for DNG files, nevertheless also a kind of RAW.

Any solution?
