If I save .rdp files with different users for the same target, it will log in with the previous user's credentials.- Make an admin.rdp file with the administrator login and tell it to save the password.- Make another normal.rdp file with the normal login and tell it to save the password- Connect using the admin.rdp file and log in administrator- Connect using the normal.rdp file and it will AUTOMATICALLY login you in as ADMINISTATOR.- Type cmdkey /list:*more- There will be ONE listing for that target with the user name of Administrator- Look inside the both .rdp files with notepad. One shows

  2. GPO to forget saved RDP credentials

Users are saving RDP credentials in their RDP mstsc window. How to remove the saved credentials. I know there is a option to remove REMEMBER ME option. But that is not removing saved credentials.

Also i created a test machine to test this with test AD

If i save by calling remotely using IP and save password next time it ask me password giving an error

“Your system administrator does not allow the user of saved credentials to log on to the remote computer XXX because its identity is not fully verified. Please enter new credentials”.

then i have to save RDP details in generic credentials in credential manager using TERMSRV

I believe in real environment its show having issue while saving when calling using IP.

My aim is to flush saved credentials for RDP and disable the remember me option( this solution i got)

    Multiple Monitors in RDP ?

    Hi folks

    @ugo21
    @NavyLCDR

    Try this :

As always Windows documentation (contradiction in terms !!!) always hides good bits

Save your RDP file, and open it in Notepad. Everyone's RDP file is different but yours may look like this:

    full address:s:x.x.x.x:3389
    prompt for credentials:i:1
    administrative session:i:1
    screen mode id:i:2
    span monitors:i:1
    use multimon:i:1
    selectedmonitors:s:0,1

To get a list of monitors, run mstsc /l to LIST out all the monitors. You can also use mstsc /multimon as a command line to use multiple monitors.

    So for example :

RDP: If I save .rdp files with different users for the same target, it will log in with... 314534d1610617078t-multiple-monitors-rdp-multimon.png

    job done !!!

    Cheers

    Slow initial RDP connection

    Hello.

I have a strange problem: since we recently moved from a 2003 domain (I know, way too long used) to a 2016 domain (no domain upgrade but a fresh install), RDP to a PC is taking a long time to login. A connection is made, but the
RDP window shows a spinning circle at “Welcome” for around 90 seconds. After this, for the most PCs the desktop is shown and the RDP connection is as fast as it should be. Some PCs however never login, the welcome keeps spinning.
Even worse: if you disconnect/connect the RDP connection a couple of times and you try to reconnect again, the target PC will never login and even physically you are unable to login… a hard reset only will solve the problem…

This behavior is only when RDP to Windows 7 or Server 2012. Logging in remote to Windows 10 or Server 2016 works without any delay. I tried different combinations:

PC A taken out domain and PC B taken out domain: RDP from A to B no problem

PC A taken out domain and PC B taken out domain: RDP from B to A no problem

PC A taken out domain en PC B member of domain: RDP from A to B 90 sec delay at logging in

PC A taken out domain en PC B member of domain: RDP from B to A no problem

PC A member of domain en PC B member of domain: RDP from A or B to B or A 90 sec delay at logging in

PC A member of domain but no GPO policies applied and PC B member of domain but no GPO policies applied: RDP 90 sec delay at logging in

PC A and PC B are Windows 7 Pro, fully updated or vanilla.

I tried all the GPO fixes found on the net about RDP tweaking, changing ports, or adding
    enablecredsspsupport:i:0 to default.rdp file.

The eventlog (of RDP or terminal services) of the target PC is not showing any errors.

Somehow the new domain is causing this behavior…

    Thanks in advance,
