Windows 10: RDP not working on windows 11 with microsoft account

I've been trying to get RDP to work but without success. The system always indicates that my username password combination is incorrect when I try it with the microsoft account. I am using MicrosoftAccount/... and my password not my PIN to loginI know there are already a couple of posts regarding this problem but I tried them all out without any success.All the configuration is correct RDP is allowed. When I try it with a newly created local account it works without any issues. But that is not what I want to achieve.One of the posts indicates that I have to remove my PIN to get it to work

Microsoft Account and Authentication during RDP

Hello, trying to RDP to my windows 10 (fall creators update) via RDP but the RDP client always fails with invalid credential.

I have tried the combinations:

• Microsoft account primary alias and Microsoft account password
• Local username associated with my Microsoft account and Microsoft account password

Neither is accepted for sign in. I have Mobile sign in enabled on my account so I technically never entered my password here.

 

RDP to non-admin account not working


I can RDP to an account that is an admin account but not to a non-admin account.
I have read to check the users and make sure the appropriate accounts have been added to the user list but the option to view or edit the user list is missing from my settings window:

is there something I can check/change in the reg editor or in group policies or something to make this appear or perhaps just to enable it directly for that account?
For reference this appears the same if I'm logged in as admin or as non-admin. (have to give admin privileges anyway to see this window in the first place)

Whi is Windows credentials not working in RDP.

Windows credentials not working in RDP. I have Net Extender on home new desktop PC, Windows Pro 11 I get to the point where I enter the name of my work PC on the RDP and click Connect. Then, the prompt comes on, Sign in w/ your Microsoft Account etc, I have confirmed my pw, and it fails. I have a laptop that I have no problem connecting to my work PC so it isn't the RDP or the Net Extender. I have tried all the suggestions on U Tube, Microsoft Community,etc and still won't let me connect. I do not have to use my Microsoft Account when using my laptop... not sure why Microsoft has to make this so difficult. .probably going to have to get a Computer Guru to help me for a fee....
