Windows 10: Rdp printer redirection works only for the first session until reboot

I have a client who works from home via RDP and until a week ago she didn't have any problem with printing on a local printer. A week ago the problem started. She's using two different computers to connect to the remote computer and the problem is consistent with both. When she logs in she is using Check point VPN client to connect to the work network, then windows RDP to connect to the remote computer. The first time when she logs in after the remote desktop had a reboot, she can print just fine on her local redirected printer. But when she disconnect without rebooting the remote desktop, the

RDP printer redirection

Hi,

When I use Microsoft RDP in a Mac, I can use the printer redirection without any issues. I don't need to install any drivers in the server which I connect to.

But when I use RDP in Windows, connecting to the same server, same user, etc..., the printer redirection doesn't work. The printer is not even showed in the control panel (as redirected).

Any idea?

Printers not being redirected through remote desktop sessions

Hello.

My team is making some changes on the server infrastructure and we are going through a real pain trying to redirect printers.

We have an old server which is working fine and redirecting the printers without any problem.

We copied the same settings (but in Windows Server 2019), shared the exact same folders and did everything the same way but this new server is not showing any local printer on the remote desktop sessions for a team working outside the office.

We shared the forlder C:\Windows\System32\spooler\drivers giving all the domain users full rights in case drivers need to be installed in order to let their home printers work.

We installed and configured drivers for HP printers but none of the HP printers is showing on the list.

We tried using a RDP session and using different apps using RemoteApps.

All the users have almost admin rights but it keeps not working.

Any idea?

 

How to redirect smart card trought RDP session

Hello,

What is the way to redirect smart card for digital signature during RDP session?
I tested several options without success. I am interested in a scenario in which the smart card reader is placed in the rdp client, but is used during the session in the rdp host.
I tried the versions with Windows 10 client and host and Windows 10 client with Windows server 2016 host.In GPO I disable prohibition rules for redirect of smart cards. I'm sorry for my bad English.
