Windows 10: RDP service crashes when downloading large files / network congestion

Hi,


I have a strange issue I ran into before when using remote desktop over WAN to access my windows server. I can usually use rdp for as long as I need, however when downloading large files using either ftp or http the service drops my connection and refuses to connect again, which I assume means the rdp service crashed. Every time this happens, I have to remotely reset the service, or restart the machine altogether. Is there some config setting I'm missing? Also it really isn't a throughput or connection stability issue, as I have a 1gb link to my server. I have no idea why this happens, and it gets extremely annoying to have to reset the connections of my coworkers each time.

Windows Explorer crashing due to large files

thats wierd... iv never had a large file crash explorer before....


and i have files ranging upto 80GB...

 

After August update Hyper-v Win10VM crashes when connecting via RDP

Those are all RDP related services, my personal list of stuff I do whenever any issues with it. Has always worked for me.

RDP and Network Connection Drops While on Ethernet

Sam,

1. Even without issuing the ping -t command I will experience a RDP drop and network bottleneck
2. RDP clients are the same version
3. No firewall setup
4. All connecting with the same cables from similar ports

winbox1 has full duplexTrue
winbox2 does not have duplex True

Pretty sure it's something with the network setup, I might reinstall the OS
