Windows 10: RDP windows resolution can't auto-adjust monitor screen resolution.

Hi,I'm using RDP to connect to my own Hyper-V Virtual Machine. and I have 2nd monitor which is bigger 27inch, don't know how to look the resolution. Issue is when I connect to my RDP, the windows display resolution cannot auto adjust according to the monitor size. I was hoping when I display the RDP session into monitor 2, the resolution become bigger so the icon and font will be smaller so it will make more to see. Now it only will make all the icon and font bigger like the resolution not increase.If I open Display Setting inside, it will say "Display settings can't be changed from a remote

Auto Adjust Resolution When Connecting External Monitor

Hi,

So whenever i plug in my external monitor, the screen does not auto adjust resolution, maintains the same resolution as the laptop's (first screen) and I have to manually set it, I believe there is a way to have the monitor automatically adjust to the external monitor screen, could you please help?

Increasing mirrored screen resolution

You can also follow these steps on how to adjust screen resolution through Control Panel:

• Open Control Panel, under Appearance and Personalization, click
  Adjust screen resolution.
• Click the name of your HD TV, then click the drop down for Resolution.

How do I adjust the screen resolution of monitor

By default, Windows chooses the best display settings for your system based on your monitor.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the resolution of the display on Monitor. Here's how:

1. Click on Start or press Windows key + I
and navigate to Settings > System >
Display > Advanced display

settings.

2. Under Resolution, select a screen resolution (recommended 1920 x 1080) that you want for the display.

3. Click on Apply and Keep changes
to save the changes.

Note: It is recommended to set the screen resolution of the display to the
(Recommended) native resolution to get the best display on your monitor.

You need at least 1024 X 768 screen resolution for modern apps to work. The Windows apps will not work in screen resolution less than 1024 X 768. To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least
1366 x 768. Make sure that the screen resolution meets these requirements.
