Windows 10: Re-enabling windows hello

I want to set up windows hello again after it stopped working but it gives me the error,"Facial Reconition Windows HelloThis option is currently unavailableSomething went wrong. Try again later"I'm not sure what to do since I have been trying to fix it, but nothing seems to work.

I understand your inconvenience. We will assist you to resolve this issue.

I suggest you to follow the methods provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Enable Windows Hello.

I suggest you to check if the Windows Hello feature is enable in Group Policy editor. This option shall be enable by default. However, I recommend you to follow the steps provided below and check if it enable or not.

  Press Windows logo key + R key.
  
• 
  Type gpedit.msc and press
  Enter key.
  
• 
  Under Computer Configuration, navigate to.
  
  Administrative Templates --> Windows Components--> Biometrics-->Facial
  Feature
  

In the left hand panel of the Windows, double click on the following:

• 
  Use enhance anti spoofing when available.
  

Select enable option and click on
Apply and OK button.

Now, restart your computer and check.

Note: As already mention by Mr. Anil Madishetty in the same thread.

A regular webcam will not work with Windows Hello. Since this is essentially 3-d detection, a camera with a specialized illuminated infrared camera is required.

Windows Hello requires specialized hardware, including fingerprint reader, illuminated IR sensor or other biometric sensors.

WINDOWS HELLO LOGIN

Tried your suggestions to repair windows hello. steps one and two did not work.
enhanced anti-spoofing feature was already disabled. Step 3 not able to find hello, webcam. and fingerprint drivers in device manager, even after enabling hidden devices. Thanks

 

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

1. Install latest official nVidia driver of your choosing.
2. Install HyperSLI
3. Install second card and let Windows install the driver for it automatically.
4. Enable SLI


Do a reboot of your computer after each step on the list above.
