Windows 10: Re-install Win10 one year after upgrading to Win11 on a laptop that was preinstalled with Win10

I'm writing this post from my laptop running Win11. Two years ago I bought it with Win10 preinstalled. One year ago I upgraded it to Win11. Now I want to go back to Win 10 again.I think I'll just do a clean Win10 install. But before that, I want to make sure I won't run into activation issues.Some info that may be relevant:1. If I go to System > Activation, I see "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account"2. I don't see a product key on the original packaging of the laptop.3. From google, I found two ways to locate my product key, one is powershell `Get-W

Can win11 be upgraded again after returning win10?

 

Win10 to win11 upgrade fails

When trying to upgrade to win11 i get a driver update error Intel Corporation - Extension - 22.80.1.1 0x80246019. I am running the lastest intel drivers (22.130.0.2). This error only shows during the upgrade. Everything works fine. No problems with bluetooth. I can upgrade to a clean win10 version with no problem, but win11 just will not work.

SFC and DISM are ok, Memory is good, all external devices disconnected, Virus check removed........etc...etc

Win11 installation fails with different errors depending on install. Tried thru win update, with installation assistant and USB drive.

 

Win11 upgrade not coming

If you checked again my previous replies, you can see ASUS re-installed my new notebook a even newer Win10 Home installation. After this 2nd time installation, I only did these to the toy:

1. installed chrome
   
2. changed its display brightness
   
3. changed wallpaper
   

After your previous suggestion, the 1 month temp McAfee was gone.

I can't figure out why I can't upgrade to Win11 for such a new notebook. Newer notebook will come with Win11 natively
