    Re latest Cumulative Update 14 June 2023


    After the last cumulative update, 14 June 2023, upon restart I have lost all my previous desktop and other files and folders. It's as if Windows 11 has been re-installed and I'm having to start from scratch, even Outlook email folders are not up to date. Apparently I can't Go Back to a previous day/time on my PC according to Settings. One Drive hadn't backed up all my files and only shows what I had before I originally installed Windows 11. So, what can I do now?

    2023-05 Cumulative Update KB5026361 update failure 0x800f0831

    Usual fix for that is an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any 'upgrade' procedure.

    I seem to recall that was suggested in your previous thread.

    Tutorial available, and I've posted a 4 step short-form procedure many many times.

    Were you to search tenforums for 0x800f0831 you might find e.g.
