Windows 10: RE: my laptop did and upgrade and now i cant get cortana to say my name

well i have and question what do i do to get the hamburger back to where it goes so i can use it to see if cortana can say my name.

To assist you with your concern, have you tried to turn off " Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more." feature?

Follow these steps on how:

• Click the search bar.
• Click the gear icon.
• Under Settings, click the slider to turn off "Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more."

Cortana says my name in place of the word 'a'.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Support. I understand you've got some concerns with Cortana and its issue in reading back to you. In looking further into this, I'd like to go over a few things.

• What is the make and model of your phone?
• On the phone, open up to Settings>About>More Info. What is the complete OS version number and firmware revision?
• Let's try the following steps in order. On the phone, open up to Settings>Applications>Cortana. Uncheck the box to "Have Cortana call me by name". Then clear your internet history for Internet Explorer on your phone and turn
  the phone off for now.
• On your computer, login to bing.com and then click the gear icon to go to
  Settings>Personalization. Clear the Cortana data here.
• Once the phone is back on, try setting up a name again.

Cortana Notebook

In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Cortana.
• Go to Settings.
• Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.
