Windows 10: Re: Switching Users and Resume from sleep

New Dell Inspiron 5579 - Windows 10 Pro - 1803 Build 0817134.165 Factory installed


In order to switch users, I have to press CTRL, ALT, and DELETE. There is nothing to tell me that I need to do this. Switch users should be down there where it says Sleep, Shut Down, Restart.


Also, when my laptop falls asleep, the only way I have to wake it back up is to press the POWER ON button! ????

Keyboard layout switches to non-default layout/language after resume from sleep

English is already set to default. I'm having same problem on multiple computers. When resuming from sleep OR shut down, they switch to the next language (DE) on the list. I have all language bar keyboard shortcuts disabled.

 

Win7 Pro Laptop crashes when resumes from sleep

Ok almost positive it related to the wifi card/driver. If I disable it in the device manager my laptop sleeps and resumes just fine.

So I guess first step would to be try to find a different driver and if that doesnt work I guess I can replace it. Used mini pci-e wifi cards are pretty cheap.

  Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps to Switch users.

• 
  Press Ctrl + Alt + Del key altogether.
  
• 
  Click on Switch User.
  
• 
  Select the user with which you want to login.
  

If computer starts up with a user other than the one you want, login to that user account and switch user to the account that you need and check.
