    Alright. So, I went and had to reinstall Win 10. My install medium was out of date by about 8 months so I downloaded a new ISO and that is how I wound up with a copy of 10 2004. Now, my computer keeps restarting every single night around 0300 hours. There is nothing in the system logs and there is nothing in the update history. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? This is really starting to annoy me.

    Windows wakes up in the middle of the night

    Hi Summit, the task UpdateOrchestrator -> Reboot is disabled now. Windows will silently re-enable it at some point, so this doesn't prevent Windows from waking up in the middle of the night. Regards, Wessel

    Windows wakes up in the middle of the night

    Since the Creators update my Windows PC wakes up in the middle of the night.

    Before Creators update, I was able to keep my desktop asleep by disabling Wake Timers in Change advanced power settings -> Sleep, and by disabling Automatic Maintenance.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /waketimers

    Timer set by [SERVICE] \Device\HarddiskVolume6\Windows\System32\svchost.exe (SystemEventsBroker) expires at 14:54:06 on 2017-11-15.

    Reason: Windows will execute 'NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot' scheduled task that requested waking the computer.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>

    Why does UpdateOrchestrator set a wake timer when wake timers are disabled? How can I prevent my computer from waking me up in the middle of the night?

    Thank you for your reply.

    • I could not find the *dump files, I don't think I enable it,
    • I will work on the MSinfo file and the Specc files when I have more time in hand.
    Questions:-

    • you're suggesting that I should install the V.2004 and let it crash (if it'll crash)?
    • since there is no .dump file exist (or I couldn't find one), the troubleshooting still good just using the MSinfo and the Specc files that reflects my current system state (V.1909)?
