FIle explorer doesn't let me print my log. Hundreds of .docx saves stored in dozens of files want to be printed out in name and one after the other. File explorer doesn't seem to be able to do it. Even a particular file doesn't seem to do it. Nope, nolo -- on reach the prt sc ultra hope -- do that/ nothing. Print that -- with the little splash of color there. The concept is simple, I want a paper to list seriatum each log entry, its name, even a reference index albeit tagula en ligare if you know what I mean.. and I can't do it. The list. My list. I even put machin to deaf audio,

Word opening files as Document1, Document2

This was the ticket. The .docx extension was associated with a word document template file type.

I used Nirsoft's File Types Manager software to correct this and now everything works fine.

That is, I open the document itself (not two copies or one copy), for reading or editing, if I:

• Double-click on the file which I usually do
• Right-click on the file and pick "open with > Word"
• Right-click on the file and pick "open"

Prior to your help and my fixing it, only the third option above worked.

Word and File Explorer periodically not responding in Windows 10, Microsoft 365

My wife's desktop is having the problem mentioned above, intermittently, when clicking on a directory in the File Explorer, or when opening a new Word file. I have already tried:

1. Repair of Office 365

2. sfc /scannow

3. chkdsk

4. Clearing quick access cache in File Explorer

None of these made any difference whatsoever. Suggestions? Thanks.

 

MS Word and File Explorer

I just started using Word 365. I go to File Explorer and open an existing Word doc and make no changes to it. I then close it out. In File Explorer, the listing shows it now has a new “Date modified” with the current date. If I open the doc again and
check its properties, it has the “Last Modified” date as the last time I actually made a change to it. How do I stop this from happening? I need the files ordered in the actual “Date modified” not the last opened date.
