Windows 10: Reactivating laptop from sleep mode bypasses lockscreen

Every time I put my laptop to sleep and then reactivate, it completely bypasses the lock screen and goes straight to my desktop. The lockscreen itself seems to work when I manually lock it and shows up briefly when either I restart or turn on my laptop.

Is there any way that I can bypass the password requirement when it is in the 'lockscreen' mode?

ASUS Laptop Won't Wake from Sleep Mode

Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

 

lockscreen bug

Hi all,

reporting a bug with lockscreen - when wake up from sleeping mode it flicks a home screen for a second than it goes to lockscreen. Happends when brightness set to medium on my OMnia 7..
