  1. Reactivation Issue after hardware change

    Hi,

i recently changed the hardware in my computer motherboard, cpu, memory. I prepared everything to be able to reactivate Windows 10 after a hardware change. I followed the instruction detailed in this guide : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/reactivating-windows-10-after-a-hardware-change-2c0e962a-f04c-145b-6ead-fb3fc72b6665

My license is a digital License - License was upgraded as part of the free promo from windows 7

Now i'm having the problem that after running the activation troubleshooter the list of devices linked to my microsoft account is empty. Windows just doesnt display the devices linked to my account. Even though by logging into my account in the web both devices show up, as they should be.

Already contacted support via phone but they couldn't help. I'm hoping that somebody here has a bright Idea!

    Cheers :

    :)

It is possible that Windows won't be able to identify your computer correctly that is why the operating system is not activated. To address your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps in this

  3. windows 10 reactivation after hardware change

I just changed motherboards, and When I follow the the steps listed in the "reactivate windows 10 after hardware change" support page, it gives me the message "unable to activate windows" message after I sign in and identify my device,
with no error code, just a subheader that says "can't activate windows 10 on this device, try again later."
