Windows 10: Reading the MS home page news, I get hacked by macafee scanning my pc, did hard shutoff

I was reading the news on MS home pageALL of a sudden mcaffee or something is canning my pcI did hard shut offThis OS is ridiculousHow much work and time do I need now to fix this issue MS?

Please refer the steps below to scan multiple pages into one PDF file and see if it helps;

• Search Windows Fax and Scan.
• Then click Windows Fax and Scan.
• Click Scan in the bottom of the left pane.
• On the toolbar, click New Scan.
• In the New Scan dialog box, click the Profile list, and then click
  Photo. The default settings for scanning a photo, which you can use or change, are automatically displayed.
• To see how the photo will appear when scanned, click Preview. If needed, change your scan settings, and then preview the image again.
  
• Click Scan.

For the issue with "HP Solutions Center" i would suggest you to install it in Compatibility mode and see if it helps:

Now, to install in Compatibility Mode, follow these steps:

a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.

b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.

c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.

e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.

Thank you for your reply.

When I searched for "Windows Fax and Scan" (#1) I get a box to "install Windows Scan". When I select thatr it tell me that the program is already installed and I opened it.

I actioned step #2and #3 and the first page was scanned.

Re step #4 - there was no option on the toolbar to select "New Scan".

re the HP Solutions Center - I tried it again, and it worked. Not sure why the program didn't launch the first time(s) I launched it, but it did now.

I would still like to be able to use the Windows Scan app. Any other suggestions? Perhaps I did not select the correct app from the search. Could you forward a link?

OS X Leopard Hacked for Intel PCs
