Windows 10: [REAGENTC.EXE: Operation failed: 2]; Unable to reinstate winre.wim after MBR2GPT job.

Hello, I need help with a few items following the conversion of my system disk from MBR to GPT. Due to the amount of partitions on my MBR disk, I had to delete the recovery partition. I made sure to run reagentc /disable first, and I confirmed the winre.wim is in my system32/recovery folder.The conversion then went through but I received this warning: Failed to update ReAgent.xml, please try to manually disable and enable WinRE.Upon attempting to enable it: REAGENTC.EXE: Operation failed: 2https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/reagentcexe-operation-failed-2/c08a3df3-0243-4cda-9

Reagentc failed

Shawn or other friend; in using MBR2GPT this am on a fresh install for which I used Win usb media - all of which went well, the conversion went well, but the edit to Reagentc failed. I thought, per the suggestion in the MBR2GPT.exe helps, to disable /enable but it all fails. Suggestion?

What, exactly, does "operation failed: 32" mean when it comes from ReagentC?

Is their a published list of all of the ReagentC failure numbers, and what they mean or what triggers them?

 

Recreate the recovery partition. REAGENTC.EXE: Operation failed: 2

you can find out easily using the free program I suggested. And if necessary it can change the ids. DiskGenius: Data Recovery, Partition Manager, Backup & Disk Utilities to change the id, rt click a partition and select "Modify partition parameters"

select the id you want in the dropdown. Then click ok.

then click Save All
