Windows 10: Real tek 5.1 not working correclty on windows 11

I cant seem to set up my 5.1 sound on windows 11. I am able to select 5.1 under playback and also tried using the Real tec audio console. but the center speaker and subwoofer do not work in the test. and audio sounds very strange voices are like a faint echo and part of the sound sounds like its underwater. sound only seems to work in stereo mode or Quadraphonic. I'm not sure whats going on or how to fix this. my motherboard is the ASUS X670E and the speaker system is the Logitec Z906 5.1 Windows 11 Home - 23H2 OS Build - 22631.3447

Real Tek audio equalilzer

I upgraded to window 10 and lost my real tek audio equalizer. Audio works, just no equalizer.

Even the latest real tek driver did not work.

In the end I blocked windows from updating drivers.

I disabled the real tek device, then updated the driver choosing a specific driver, picked generic HD. and sound started working again

Hi All,

My sound was working fine and then the moment the creators update installed V1703 my audio stopped.

device manager has a exclamation mark on real tek audio and has

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

as the error.

I have uninstalled and restarted, uninstalled and installed from motherboard site. uninstalled and reinstalled latest from real tek site and always the same error.

Does anyone know a fix for this as it only happend after the update.
