    real tek usb not being recognised by pc


    installed realtek 5ghz usb to get faster speed but in symbol fot it in right hand corner red star-with a code no RTL 818n-I UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED NO GOOD same code -what does this mean-drivers did download for it-i c numerous people asking same as they have this code coming up as well but no real answers as to what the solution is and how to fix and get pc to recognise it thanks in advance for any assistance

    i have already tried these few options u mentioned over a period of days but this message no RTL818n still there and the red star which indicates as far as im aware pc not recognising the usb adaptor-i can find new installation usb in network adaptors but when u click on it there it NO enable tab-im going to try disabling the adaptor that came with pc and c will this new usb work then------------no i tried that there now but i have noticed when u click properties on new one and click wireless mode and change to 5ghz and click ok -for some reason its not changing it to 5ghz channels when u try it again-its same as if u need to click properties and do it again------i c lot of ones with this code above but no real solutions thanks anyway

    I upgraded to window 10 and lost my real tek audio equalizer. Audio works, just no equalizer.
