Windows 10: Reallocated Sectors in HDD

My 6 year old 1TB hdd has 24 reallocated sectors, 16 current pending sectors and uncorrectable sectors which have been given in yellow with a caution sign in crystaldisk. The screen shots from crystal disk have been uploaded down.My pc's performance and boot time are also going downhill drasticallyIs it time to change my hard drive?Note: the raw values are in DEC10 and not in hexadecimal

How a harddisk performs with reallocated sectors

I want to ask how a hard disk will perform with reallocated sectors compared with 0 reallocated sectors if anyone knows, my hard disk has 1200 reallocated sectors and they have not been growing so my question in general is if the reallocated sectors may
impact the read and write speed I'm curious because theoretically I understand that the reallocated sectors are no longer used by the hard disk so the harddisk should write data on a new surface so I don't understand why performance should reduce unless the
reallocated sectors increase daily of which my hard disc i used formatting tool to write Zeros and ones to permanently erase everything beyond recovery so I'm certain start my hard disk is written data completely on a new surface or new sectors. Does anyone
have another opinion about a hard disk reallocated sectors and performance-related issues

The only way reallocated sectors cause performance degradation is if your system is reading a file form your hard drive sequentially, then the head meets a reallocated sector, the head must be re-positioned to read the replacement sector that was allocated

On most PC's you will never notice any performance hit due to reallocated sectors . . .

You will not really notice any degredation on your PC unless system files are positioned on your hard drive just before a reallocated sector and honestly, you would be just very unlucky if that happened . . .

 

Several Reallocated Logical Sectors - best to clone or image?

A Reallocated sector is not the same thing as a bad sector. Reallocation moves the data to a new good sector before the sector becomes unreadable.

Yes, Macrium can be told to back up in the presence of unreadable sectors, but it shouldn't be necessary in this case. If the reallocation has done the job it is designed for then no data has been lost or corrupted (yet).

For my HDD with a steadily increasing Reallocated Sectors Count (number in the thousands) I took no special steps in Macrium. I wanted it to abort if it couldn't read a sector. That fact that it didn't meant that all sectors had been successfully read (some after multiple retries, judging by how long it took) and I could be confident in the image that had been created.
