    Really Bad Mouse Lag

I've just done that and I was welcomed with more lag.

It seems to happen more when I'm loading multiple pages in Firefox. Every time I boot up my computer I start up Firefox and load about 4 or 5 different forums and a couple other pages all in different tabs

Have you updated Firefox 33 and Flash Player ? And to isolate the problem, you might want to download: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows and disable all non MS extensions, it might seem irrelevant but sometimes the shell extensions can create lagging problem. Also, any add-ons that you might have installed in the browser.

Have you tried moving the mouse closer to your computer? Is the usb transceiver in the back or front? If in the back try moving it to the front. I find interference is a common problem with wireless mice, particularly in the 2.4Ghz range (one reason I use 5Ghz networking, and don't use cordless phones or other 2.4Ghz spectrum devices).

    Really Bad Mouse Lag

Chuck... when the mouse lags are you seeing any HDD activity ? You may just be a bit low on resources for everything to keep up. Does task manager show any high CPU/Disk usage when the mouse lags.

    I'll give that a go.

It's in the back, I'll move it to the front. *Smile

No, I hardly ever have any high CPU/ Disk usage. *Wink

Thanks for helping me guys! I'm sure we'll figure this out! *Smile

  6. I would also suggest to make sure you are using USB 2.0 and not 3.0.

I do believe this has fixed it! I haven't had any lag sense repositioning the transceiver! *Smile

  10. I'm glad your fixed.
Strange though. I have one of my system across the room with the transceiver in the back of the computer without any problems.
I'm guessing all transceiver are not created equal.

It is a little strange, especially since it doesn't happen in Windows 8! *Confused

I've had particular problems with reduced distance of my wireless mice in Windows 8.x (I run 10 in a vm, so it's the same)... I don't know if it's something specific to windows 8 or coincidence.. I have a Microsoft keyboard and Logitech mouse, so I always assumed it was cross-talk between the two different brands... but who knows.

I THINK I SOLVED THIS ISSUE!
I have been having the same problem. Just updated from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Immediately noticed that the mouse was lagging within a few minutes of start up. Figured it would need to get all of its updates over the next couple of days and it would go away.....NOPE!
My problem is that the mouse lags when moving across the screen. If you move the mouse around really fast it will pause about every 2-3 seconds. When you open Task Manager the problem completely disappears. I went through a bunch of other recommendations to fix it, but eventually figured out a fix for me.

TURN OFF CORTANA! Once Cortana is turned off everything is back to normal. Turn it back on, back to a lagging mouse.

Hope this helps someone else out there.
