Really MUST i actually start a microsoft account to get Nvidia control

The Nvidia driver install did not include the usual utility that shows up in the Control panel. I get a message On the bottom right of my screen saying I need to download the nvidia app for my control panel. Because I could not get that to work I copied nvcplui.exe off of my other computer and now use that to configure my monitors. That works but I need to run it again sometimes if I reboot because my second monitor goes red and green then blue then black until I run it.

Is it really true that Microsoft will deprive me of something I really need unless configure my computer to have a microsoft login account. Like will I need to login with that account to use my computer from then on ? What about my peer to peer network ? Is there a way to get the Nvidia back in my control panel without starting a Microsoft account on my computer ?
    this is win 1903

    :)

Nvidia control panel and microsoft account

Apparently, one can only get Nvidia Control Panel from the Microsoft Store, which in turn requires me to sign in before it lets me download. Now, generally I prefer not to use the Microsoft account in any way. Therefore, I have the following two questions:

    1. is there any workaround to get the Nvidia Control Panel without signing into the Store?

    2. If I sign into the Store once and then sign out, will the Microsoft account I use for this purpose be still stored anywhere in the system?

Windows 10 version 1903 Nvidia Control Panel issues.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that nvidia Control Panel is not accepting desktop color settings correctly, In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some
    information.

    1. What is the Make and the Model of the computer?
    2. May I know the Model of the nvidia Graphic card?

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:

Method 1: Change the output dynamic range to full.

    1. Open nvidia control panel.
    2. Click on Display.
    3. Select Change resolution.
    4. Output dynamic range
    5. Set this value to Full.

Method 2: Update nvidia Graphic driver.

Suggest you to update the nvidia Graphic driver from the

    nvidia website
and check if it fixes the issue.

    Thanks,

Really MUST i actually start a microsoft account to get Nvidia control

Settings can't be opened using the built-in administrator account

    Hello,
Unfortunately I have the same issue as Dabz from upgrading win7 to win10.
I've tried opening settings using all the suggested methods and it will not load using my account with Administrator access nor the built-in Administrator profile. I also tried other methods not listed such as using Run. Control panel is just a stepping stone to add users in Settings.
I'm also having explorer.exe issues, which I believe is preventing Settings from loading.
Using cmd (Admin) I successfully created a new user profile [and granted admin access also using cmd (Admin)], however win10 will not allow this account to log on. win10 does not list this new user within control panel but it does in the start menu. win10 will not allow to log in or switch to the new account via the start menu either.
I can access settings in Safe Mode but this will not allow me to create a new account.
Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
