Windows 10: really need to be able to move my task bar to the top or left....

funny how a feature every single windows version since XP had is gone...this makes my life very very uncomfortable.get your head out of your sphincter and use the 3 neurons you have and fix it please...

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

how to successfully pin files to the task bar

I use to be able to drag and drop files onto the task bar and they would reside withing the file list for that program. Since the recent upgrade it appears that I am not able to pin a file to the program on the task bar. Suggestions?

Access the administration of the task bar

Right click on the task bar and select task bar Settings

Already within the configuration: in the option of task location on Screen you can see a list:

Bottom, Right, Top, Left

Most likely, it is in the "top" option.

Change it to Bottom and you can have it again at the bottom of your screen
