    Really slow downloads after changing DNS to Google/cloudflare


    Windows updates, ms store updates as well as any download in general is awfully slow after changing DNS. Issue persists even after a clean install. I've reinstalled my network drivers too.Some things I've tried:sfc /scannowdism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth no corruptions foundReset network settingsipconfig /flushdnsOS: Windows 11

    Cloudfare, Quad9, Google, OPEN - the DNS wars!

    Extensive list of DNS services:
    Secure DNS servers

    Keeping it updated for 4 years now. Currently, Cloudflare DNS holds the crown in 2 departments, performance and privacy. Stay away from Google though. It's an option, but I wouldn't recommend it.

    New Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 fastest, privacy-first consumer DNS service

    I have been using OpenDNS for years. I tried Google DNS but it is overrated and slower. Really got tired of all the so called fixes for slow downloads and streaming just use Google DNS. I am still hesitant to try Cloudflare. Does it display an ad ridden page for a false address.
