    Hello was wondering if anyone would be ablt to help me any mic i plug in sounds muffled and i can barely hear myself with some static, I have realtek Audio drivers and ive tried updating it to latest also made sure all my inputs are right but no luck after a couple months of trying, Any solutions would be appreicated

    How do I fix the my Muffled audio?

    My Computer's audio is very muffled, it sounds like karaoke mode is enabled, but I have already disabled all audio enhancements.

    I looked in device manager and Realtek HD audio isn't installed, so I tried to install it, but it doesn't show up. So I tried uninstalling VIA HD audio, but it once I restarted my computer it reinstalls itself and the audio is still muffled and distorted.

    Also, I'm not sure if the razor synapse things affect it, or the NVIDIA HD audio.

    How do I install Realtek HD audio successfully so it is on the device manager? And how do I uninstall VIA Audio permanently?

    Sound Quality

    One thing that sticks out from looking at your "My Computer" specs. You list "ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)" which suggests you do not have the correct sound hardware driver. Your motherboard has Realtek sound and the first step is to install the Realtek sound drivers. My ASUS also came with Sonic Studio 2 which is a sound enhancement package. Check the ASUS install disc to see if you have something similar.

    May not be a speaker problem.

    Realtek HD Audio low and bad quality sound after Windows 10 upgrade

    After upgrading Windows 10 Version 1511 Build 10586.3, I noticed a dramatic drop in audio quality. This fixed the issue for me.

    1. Open control panel/Sound
    2. On Playback tab, select Speakers/Headphones Realtek High Definition Audio Default Device, then click properties
    3. On General Tab, in the Controller Information groupbox, click properties
    4. From the Realtek High Definition Audio Properties Dialog Box, on the General Tab, select Change Settings
    5. Select the Driver tab and click Update Driver...
