Windows 10: Realtek Audio Not Detecting Microphone

Background:I have a Dell Inspiron 7586 2-in-1. I got it in 2019. I got a Razer Headset with a built-in microphone, which worked throughout college. Recently, my laptop was going really slow I was in computer science, so I wouldn't be surprised if something I made during early school days messed with something so I factory reset my laptop, and only updated it to windows 10 rather than 11 since I am unsure if it can handle it. Since then, a pop-up would show when I plugged in a new headset, but I believe I accidentally told it to stop asking some time ago. Issue:My laptop is no longer detectin

Microphone not detected

I've run it, it says the problem was 'Generic audio driver'. But I don't actually feel any problems on playing audios. My problem was about external microphones not detected, this laptop wont detect any external microphones
plugged in, it will always use the internal microphone. I've done the troubleshoot (recording audio) and the troubleshoot said they can't detect the problem.

1. Check the Physical Connection: Make sure you have correctly plugged in the headset into the right port. Some laptops have separate audio and microphone jacks, while others use a single jack for both. If your laptop has a single jack and your headset has separate audio and microphone plugs, you might need a splitter adapter.
   
2. Check the Sound Settings: Go to the Sound settings (search for it in the Start menu). Under the ‘Input’ section, check if your microphone is listed. If it is, select it and try speaking into the microphone to see if the ‘Test your microphone’ bar shows any activity.
   
3. Reinstall Audio Driver: If updating the driver doesn’t work, you can try reinstalling it. Go to ‘Device Manager’, expand the ‘Sound, video and game controllers’ list. Right-click on your audio device, and choose ‘Uninstall device’. After the device is uninstalled, restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the audio driver.
   
4. Check the Headset: Test your HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Core on another device, such as another computer or a phone. If the microphone still doesn’t work, it might be an issue with the headset itself.
   
5. Realtek HD Audio Manager: If your laptop has the Realtek HD Audio Manager installed, open it and check if the microphone is detected there.

laptop not detecting headset microphone

I recently bought a new headset with a microphone and I can hear audio through the headset but
my mic is not detected and it is still using my default Realtek computer microphone.

I've tried looking for hidden microphones but there are none.
I've re-installed my Realtek HD Audio driver.

But nothing seems to work.

What should I do to fix this?
