Windows 10: RealTek Audio Software for Win 10 64.

Hi.
Just in the process of a clean install of W10, tried to install Realtek HD Audio from my ASUS P8 P67 Pro Rev 3.1 MB support Disc, Win 10 reported that it was not compatible with my system *Sad.

I do not seem to be able to find the software program only drivers. Any suggestions as to where I may find the software or another software program that is compatible?

How can I download Realtek HD Audio Manager

All this realtek audio manager fuss,

is a problem in windows.

Not the realtek hardware and software.

Windows is still build on crappy 2 bit architecture even win 10.

Windows is not capabele of doing complex multiple tasks at the same time hence crappy kernel.

on my system win 10 home "64" bit( wich it isnt), the audio device is repeatedly disapearing from the system even when not in use.

Verry anoying, will build a complete AMD only system soon, with a unix operating system that will run smoothly for years witout this crapp.

 

Realtek HD Audio powercfg -request keeps Win 10 from sleep

After many months of trying everything it seems that the problem is solved.

Use control panel, devices, right click audio and video games - disable Realtek HD Audio.

Check the online search for new software and it will auto install.

Go back to devices, audio and video games and observe that the Realtek HD Audio has been replace by Realtek Audio.

You will find that the Realtek HD audio problem no longer appears when you do a request.

It appears that the was a conflict with the HD Audio and Win. 10 and its been updated.

Thanks for the link, sorry but unfortunately this only results in 'Connection reset' error screen. ' ...the site may not be available or to try again later....'. Not sure why though....

After I have entered the spcust & hwwk758z this is the result. I have tried it many times today.

 

As it is ftp, you might need to setup ftp passive mode in the browser.... Try opening a command prompt and then:
ftp ftp3.realtek.com.tw
and use the login and password when prompted. After it logs you in,
you will see a ftp> prompt
binary
and then at the next ftp>
dir
what happens?

Tried on Windows Command Prompt but that did not work, is there a command prompt in FireFox? My apologies but this is not something I have come across before *Redface

 

Command prompts are part of the OS...

Right click on the start menu then choose Command Prompt (Admin).
UAC will ask you for permissions, answer yes to this one, a terminal command prompt will open up...
Then do the above..

With Firefox, you can get this extension:

Well sort of worked after a couple of goes.
Stopped after user entered, I could not enter the password, just a flashing cursor. As if the keyboard no longer worked.

 

Times out.
