Windows 10: Realtek Audio This device cannot start. Code 10 {Operation Failed} The requested operation...

I just keep getting this message on device manager, I've tried deleting the upper and lower values on the registry editor and I've tried uninstalling it but it just comes back up almost immediately, I've also tried installing the latest drivers but the same result, sometimes it works fine but then out of nowhere either just disconnects or the volume is extremely low and then it just disappears from my volume icon in the taskbar, what can I do? i tries talking to support through the get help app but they didn't help at all

I am using a SurfaceBook and I am getting this error on my primary windows 10 wifi network adapter (marvell avastar wireless-ac network driver):

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}

The requested operation was unsuccessful.

This is preventing me from connecting to wifi in any way, since the driver is busted. I have tried most of the troubleshooting steps found online... namely:

• uninstalling driver and restarting
• installing driver directly from manufacturer website
• restoring windows
• updating windows
• resetting network setting
• reset entire windows image

and none of them seem to help. Can anyone help me?? right now my laptop can't connect to internet at all without an ethernet

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.

Realtek ASIO Driver installs but fails to operate

I'm enjoying using Realtek asio thru Foobar2000 for playback - no sour notes here, hah! *Biggrin
no realtek audio sound effect enhancements (EQ & environment) will work thru realtek asio though but that doesn't bother me
some MP3 files won't play thru realtek asio if sample rate is far from or close to 44Khz, so realtek asio has some limitations
