    Realtek Digital Output Optical device missing after Windows 1909 update


    So I updated my Windows 10 to 1909 and the optical output device was simply removed from devices. The only digital output now visible is the non-optical output 3.5 mm rear jack.I have ASUS Crosshair VII with motherboard's integrated audio.Everything has been working perfectly until this update.What I've tried:Uninstalled and reinstalled audio drivers by WindowsDownloaded the drivers from the ASUS site and installed themUpdated Windows to 21H1 and repeated the driver uninstall/install cyclesI also want to note that this issue is not the same as this, because I really used to have TWO digita

    Update KB4038788 and Realtek digital output

    After installing the KB4038788 update, I found that I had no audio output from my Realtek digital output, which is routed via optical cable to amplifier. I noticed that Device Manager says "Device not migrated". I updated the Realtek driver, but this has
    made no difference.

    Also since installing the update, Cakwalk Sonar Platinum crashes on launch.

    Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

    Wait, but have you done the whole step-by-step guide described in the OP? DDL/DTS isn't supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 either, unless if you do the steps listed there.

    Realtek Digital Output not connected

    Helloguys my Realtek Digital Output says it's not connected, I'm getting audio however I think this is the case to me not being able to get audio from Steam Apps. I'm on Windows 10 also. I'm also on a Laptop.

    The things I have tried

    • Update my Drivers
    • Go to Win+R and type in "shutdown -r -t 0"
